“Sami, let’s go visit Rana* who works in the Superintendent’s office”, exclaimed Flat Sujata.

Rana assists the Superintendent and is also the guardian of the Magnolia Family.

“I remember she was telling us about how the Lord led her to the Mission,” Sami says to Flat Sujata.

“It’s such a long walk from the school to the office” Flat Sujata said exhaustedly. “But we’ll be getting great exercise and besides, how can we not be happy that school is out for the day?”, Sami says happily.

“Hi Rana. Can you tell us more about why you decided to work at Mukti? inquired Flat Sujata.

“Hi girls!  You look tired and hot after that long walk Can I get you something to drink?” asks Rana with concern.

“School’s out and we get a nice drink too, what a great day” exclaims Sami.

“Many times, when I saw suffering such as children sweeping the train tracks in little or no clothes or extreme poverty, I asked the Lord what He wanted me to do”, declared Rana.

“I became actively involved in a Christian student movement. I thought the Lord was speaking directly to me when I read Isaiah 61 that talks about one who is sent to share the good news with the poor, to heal those who are broken hearted, and to set the captives free. I told the Lord I would serve Him wherever He wanted me to go”.

“Do you mean the Lord actually spoke to you out loud?” inquired Flat Sujata excitedly.

“No, it was more like I felt Him telling me that in my heart”.

After Rana finished her degree at a Bible seminary, God opened the way for her to work at Mukti.

Rana finished her story by saying, “I’m so grateful God brought me here to serve Him and help the downtrodden.  I want people to see Jesus in me as I work as part of the team at Mukti.”.

“Wow, I want to hear Jesus telling me things in my heart like happened to Rana”, mused Sami.
