A Mukti Daughter Speaks
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” – 1 John 4: 16
Over the years, Mukti Mission has shaped the lives of thousands of girls, and I am proud to say that I am one of them. I am very grateful to Mukti for the special role it has played in my life. My family comprises my husband and two children. My life was disorderly and messed up before I arrived at Mukti Mission. My mother was shattered by my father’s death and she did not know what steps to take for the future. The family was in the grip of poverty, and at that time, my mother admitted me to Mukti Mission.

Since that day, Mukti became my family where I was loved, encouraged, corrected, and trained. This is where I experienced the love of God through different mentors whom God raised to shape my life. Mukti has given me the greatest gift: my education and empowerment, which have taken me to greater heights. My heart is filled with gratitude, and I am ever so thankful for this. My mentors in Mukti were always there for my spiritual growth and life decisions. At God’s appointed time, the Lord brought a life partner for me, for whom Mukti played a major role. This year, by the grace of God, we will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.
Whenever we visit Mukti, it has always been a refreshing time. It’s always coming back to my home, where I am loved and encouraged by everyone. It is a joy to meet my older sisters, and we laugh and cherish the past memories of the time spent at Mukti.
It is my prayer that the aroma of Mukti Mission will spread far and wide as Mukti continues to care for needy children and women who will always find hope just as I did.
