Amazing Turn Around

When Shraddha* very unwillingly came to the Mission, she seemed to be a quiet and gentle young woman. But the admission records gave witness to the fact that she was capable of being quite the opposite. She was a child who had been nurtured and educated by followers of God but had no family to call her own. Towards the end of her studies, she created a whole lot of trouble in the institution where she had grown up – so much so that those who had poured so much into her realized they might have to send her on her way. Distressed about the situation, they contacted Mukti Mission to take Shraddha in.

Shraddha was assigned to the Special School as a helper and soon was accepted as one of the family, getting along extremely well with the children and shouldering quite a lot of responsibility in the Special School and Candle-Making Dept., under the supervision of the faithful, veteran staff. Shraddha has transformed into a young woman with an all-welcoming smile and chatters non-stop. Her supervisor, says, “It is only the grace of God that could have brought this dramatic change.”

Recently one of those who originally had worked with Shraddha paid a surprise visit to the Mission and was stunned and speechless at the sight of the smiling Shraddha who ran to hug her and then proudly took her around the Special School talking nonstop. She could hardly believe her eyes but was more than happy to give credit to God for the amazing change in Shraddha’s life. 

Thank the Lord that He is a God of second chances, able to do much more than we even can imagine through His amazing grace!
